Apex Anti-Discrimation Policy

Anti-Discrimination Policy

Apex Site Safety Audits is fully committed to providing a workplace and service environment free from discrimination, harassment, vilification, and victimisation, in accordance with the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 (Qld). We promote equal opportunity and respect for all individuals, recognising the diverse backgrounds of our employees, contractors, clients, and stakeholders in Queensland's construction industry.

Discrimination, sexual harassment, and other unlawful conduct are prohibited in all aspects of our operations, including employment, service delivery, client interactions, training programs, and site activities. Protected attributes under the Act include (but are not limited to) sex, relationship status, pregnancy, breastfeeding, family responsibilities, parental status, age, race, impairment, religious belief or activity, political belief or activity, lawful sexual activity, association with or relation to a person identified on the basis of any attribute, gender identity, sexuality, and irrelevant criminal or medical record.

To prevent and address discrimination, Apex will:

  • Take all reasonable and proportionate steps to eliminate unlawful discrimination, harassment, and related conduct before it occurs, in line with the positive duty under Queensland law (effective from relevant legislative updates).

  • Implement clear policies, procedures, and training to foster an inclusive culture and raise awareness of discrimination risks.

  • Provide accessible mechanisms for reporting concerns confidentially and without fear of reprisal.

  • Investigate complaints promptly, fairly, and impartially, applying procedural fairness.

  • Take appropriate corrective action where breaches are substantiated.

  • Ensure compliance with the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 (Qld) and related human rights obligations.

This policy applies to all employees, contractors, consultants, and persons interacting with Apex. It is communicated during inductions, training, and via online access, and reviewed annually or as required.

These policies underscore our dedication to excellence, compliance, and ethical conduct. They are reviewed regularly to reflect legislative changes and operational needs.
