Work Health and Safety (WHS) Policy

Apex Site Safety Audits is committed to preventing work-related injury and ill-health for our employees, contractors, clients, and all persons affected by our activities. This policy applies to all operations, with particular emphasis on site safety audits, inspections, investigations, training, and consulting services in Queensland's construction sector.

We adopt a proactive, risk-based approach to WHS, prioritising the hierarchy of controls to eliminate or minimise hazards so far as is reasonably practicable. To achieve this commitment, Apex will:

• Systematically identify hazards and assess risks in our operations and client sites, with a focus on high-risk construction activities such as working at heights, plant operations, silica exposure, and confined spaces.

• Implement effective control measures, ensuring safe systems of work, plant, equipment, and procedures that protect health and safety.

​

• Ensure full compliance with the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (Qld), Work Health and Safety Regulation 2011 (Qld), relevant Codes of Practice, and other statutory requirements.

• Actively consult, cooperate, and coordinate with workers, contractors, clients, and stakeholders on WHS matters, encouraging participation in decision-making.

• Provide appropriate resources, education, and training to ensure competency and awareness of hazards and controls.

​

• Establish, monitor, and review measurable WHS objectives and targets aligned with our strategic direction and client needs.

​

• Promote continuous improvement through regular performance evaluation, incident investigation, and corrective actions.

​

• Report WHS performance transparently and foster a culture of accountability and safety leadership.

This policy is communicated to all employees, contractors, and interested parties via induction, training, and online availability. It is reviewed annually or following significant changes to ensure ongoing relevance and effectiveness.
